The Community Committee was formed to focus on activities in the HR community. First, the committee is responsible for developing opportunities for HRLF members to network and meet other HR professionals, Consultants and Thought Leaders in the industry. Second, the committee organizes and arranges the social events outside of the monthly program attended by HRLF members and friends. Finally, the community group seeks out and interacts with other groups to promote community amongst our peers and to look towards the future for HRLF. Networking Opportunities – During each of our monthly programs, there is ample time to network before the actual program and after. The meeting structure was set up to allow members to enjoy a continental breakfast and the opportunity to network starting at 8:00 am until 9:00 am. Once the featured speaker finishes the discussion, additional networking is available during the last 30 minutes of the meeting. Social Events – HRLF sponsors two social event each year. The event is held at the end of the program year in early summer. Members and guests have the opportunity to enjoy some great food, drinks and socializing outside of a formal program. The early summer event is a celebration of the past program year. Community Activities – HRLF Community Committee continues to support acts of "giving back," which has extensive benefits for a business well beyond the obvious benefit of helping the community. HRLF has partnered with National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), a national nonprofit and the nations largest grassroots mental health organization. They are dedicated to helping bring awareness and help improve the lives of millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
