Speaker and Program Information:
2015 Global Human Capital Trends
It’s no secret the HR profession is on the verge of radical change—in what its strategic focus should be in a global marketplace; which responsibilities it should prioritize in a business climate characterized by its own rapid change; and ways HR professionals should reposition themselves as leaders in their organizations. Harvard Business Review’s July-August issue advocated nothing less than rethinking HR from the ground up, with articles like “Why We Love to Hate HR…and What HR Can Do About It” and “Bright, Shiny Objects and the Future of HR.” Given the fact there are so many thought leaders entertaining such significant change ideas about the profession, informed HR executives often find themselves questioning whether their strategies for their companies are sound and—perhaps more fundamentally—whether their expectations for their own careers are the right ones.
Please join us on October 9, 2015, as we welcome Bersin by Deloitte’s Keather Snyder to address these very concerns, with insights into Deloitte’s comprehensive Global Human Capital Trends 2015 report. Drawing on surveys and interviews with more than 3,300 businesses and HR leaders from 106 countries, it highlights ten distinct trends that signal major changes for HR. What emphasis is placed on culture and engagement? How radical will the reinvention of HR be? What role do HR and people analytics play—and what role should they play? Should we fear automation or look forward to the possibilities it presents for collaboration? Where does learning and development fit in the new business model? These questions and the issues underlying them will form the basis of a riveting discussion that you won’t want to miss.

The second use of a word like “radical” stands out in a short paragraph. Recommend revising to “significant change” or similar in opening sentence both to avoid repetition and to tone down somewhat ominous language.
