Speaker and Program Information:

The New Path Forward: Creating Compelling Career Paths

with Scott Engler, CEB

Session Description:

Today's careers are failing both employees and employers.

Employers are not getting the capabilities they need to drive growth, and employees are not satisfied with their careers. Most organizations provide employees wtih sample career paths, access to job boards, and career conversations. But not only do these approaches not work, they can also make talent shortages worse and drive down career satisfaction.

Join CEB Managing Director Scott Engler for a look at how the best companies create growth-based career cultures not through employee ownership, but through career partnerships that create reciprocal value for the organization and employees. Employees gain experience and skills that make them more employable while organizations gain competitive advantage by building workforce capabilities.

The Corporate Executive Board’s Human Resources practice enables HR functional executives and their teams to execute efficiently, benchmark performance against best-in-class metrics, and achieve critical business objectives through successful talent and functional strategies. We provide the guidance and tools that enable business leaders and managers to overcome common challenges, improve their workforce and drive the organization's performance.
