Over his professional career, Elliott has consulted with business leaders to develop, implement, and execute diversity & inclusion strategies, aimed at achieving organizational success. At Booz Allen Hamilton, an international management consulting firm, Elliott led the development, implementation, and management of an enterprise-wide Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Partnering Program across 40 business units.
His experience includes: National Science Foundation (NSF), The Department of Treasury (IRS), The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In his current role as the Director, Diversity and Inclusion at BIO, Elliott provides leadership and drives change through the development and implementation of strategic diversity and inclusion initiatives in the biotechnology and life sciences industry, and within BIO.
He received his BA in Sociology from Middlebury College and holds numerous professional diversity & inclusion, project management, and human capital certifications from Georgetown University, Cornell University, and the Human Capital Institute.
Shaara Roman is a wife, mom, board member, entrepreneur, and former CHRO. She consults with leaders to create healthy workplaces by helping them build compelling cultures, design effective organizations and align their people programs to crush business goals.
Born in India, schooled in Nigeria and England, and having lived in Greece before coming to the US to work her way through college, Shaara is a citizen of the world. This experience has instilled a desire to build bridges between different kinds of people and propelled her to launch her business in 2016. Shaara has deep leadership and executive experience and brings an authentic, creative and solution-oriented approach to client engagements.
Shaara is a frequent speaker, serves on the boards of Enabled Intelligence and Arlington Soccer Association, and received an MBA from Georgetown University.
